حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا قَيْسٌ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ:

" كَانَ بِلَالٌ يُؤَذِّنُ حِينَ تَدْحَضُ الشَّمْسُ، وَرُبَّمَا أَخَّرَ الْإِقَامَةَ قَلِيلًا وَرُبَّمَا عَجَّلَهَا قَلِيلًا، فَأَمَّا الْأَذَانُ فَكَانَ لَا يَخْرِمُ عَنِ الْوَقْتِ

Translation

✧ Bilal used to give the call to prayer when the sun declined, and sometimes he delayed the iqama a little and sometimes he hurried it a little. As for the call to prayer, he did not miss the time.
