حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ
كَانَ إِذَا أُتِيَ بِجِنَازَةٍ سَأَلَ عَنْهَا، فَإِنْ أُثْنِيَ عَلَيْهَا خَيْرًا صَلَّى عَلَيْهَا، وَإِنْ أُثْنِيَ عَلَيْهَا شَرًّا قَالَ لِأَهْلِهَا: " شَأْنَكُمْ بِهَا "، وَلَمْ يُصَلِّ عَلَيْهَا
Translation

✧ When a funeral was brought to him, he would ask about it. If it was praised well, he would pray over it; if it was spoken of badly, he would say to its family: "Take care of it yourselves," and would not pray over it.
