حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا قُرَّةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الطُّفَيْلِ عَامِرُ بْنُ وَاثِلَةَ اللَّيْثِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ جَبَلٍ، قَالَ:

" جَمَعَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي غَزْوَةٍ غَزَاهَا - وَذَلِكَ فِي غَزْوَةِ تَبُوكَ - بَيْنَ الظُّهْرِ وَالْعَصْرِ، وَبَيْنَ الْمَغْرِبِ وَالْعِشَاءِ "، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: مَا أَرَادَ بِذَلِكَ ؟ قَالَ: أَرَادَ أَلَّا يُحْرِجَ أُمَّتَهُ

Translation

✧ "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ combined in an expedition he undertook—and that was in the expedition of Tabuk—between Zuhr and 'Asr, and between Maghrib and 'Isha'." He said: I said: What did he intend by that? He said: He intended not to cause hardship for his community.
