حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، وَقَيْسٌ، عَنْ أَبِي هَاشِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي مِجْلَزٍ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ عَبَّادٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا ذَرٍّ، يَقُولُ:

" أُقْسِمُ بِاللهِ إِنْ نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ: هَذَانِ خَصْمَانِ اخْتَصَمُوا فِي رَبِّهِمْ إِلَّا فِي هَؤُلَاءِ النَّفَرِ السِّتَّةِ ; حَمْزَةَ، وَعَلِيٍّ، وَعُبَيْدَةَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، وَعُتْبَةَ، وَشَيْبَةَ، وَالْوَلِيدِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ

Translation

✧ I swear by God, this verse—'These two opponents dispute concerning their Lord'—was revealed only about these six individuals: Hamzah, 'Ali, 'Ubaydah b. al-Harith, 'Utbah, Shaybah, and al-Walid b. 'Utbah.
