حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ، قَالَ:
قُلْتُ لِأَبِي ذَرٍّ: لَوْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ سَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ شَيْءٍ، فَقَالَ: مَا هُوَ ؟ قُلْتُ: كُنْتُ أَسْأَلُهُ، هَلْ رَأَيْتَ رَبَّكَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ؟ فَقَالَ أَبُو ذَرٍّ: سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ: هَلْ رَأَيْتَ رَبَّكَ ؟ فَقَالَ: " نُورٌ أَنَّى أَرَاهُ
Translation

✧ I said to Abu Dharr: If I had seen the Messenger of God ﷺ, I would have asked him about something. He said: What is it? I said: I would ask him: Did you see your Lord, Mighty and Majestic? Abu Dharr said: I asked the Messenger of God ﷺ: Did you see your Lord? He said: Light, how could I see Him?
