Show the chain

machine translationIt is disconnected (munqaṭiʿ), because Abū ʿUbaydah did not meet his father. Al-Dāraquṭnī said in his al-ʿIlal: "This is the correct view in my opinion."

    in مسند الطيالسي, p. 330
  • Dāraquṭnī

machine translationManṣūr b. al-Muʿtamir narrates it from ʿUbayd b. Nusṭās, from Abū ʿUbaydah. A group narrated it from him, among them Shuʿbah, al-Thawrī, Zāʾidah, Fuḍayl b. ʿIyāḍ, Ḥammād b. Zayd, Jarīr b. ʿAbd al-Ḥamīd, Abū al-Aḥwaṣ, Ibn ʿUyaynah, Misʿar and Idrīs. Abū Ḥanīfah differed from them: he narrated it from Manṣūr and erred in its chain, making it from Sālim b. Abī al-Jaʿd, from ʿUbayd b. Nusṭās, from Ibn Masʿūd, and he omitted Abū ʿUbaydah. The correct version is from Manṣūr, from ʿUbayd b. Nusṭās, from Abū ʿUbaydah.
