حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ أَبِي عَمْرٍو الشَّيْبَانِيِّ أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ عَنْ §رَجُلٍ طَلَّقَ امْرَأَتَهُ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَدْخُلَ بِهَا أَيَتَزَوَّجُ ابْنَتَهَا؟ قَالَ
نَعَمْ فَتَزَوَّجَهَا فَوَلَدَتْ لَهُ فَقَدِمَ عَلَى عُمَرَ فَسَأَلَهُ فَقَالَ «فَرِّقْ بَيْنَهُمَا» فَقَالَ إِنَّهَا وَلَدَتْ لَهُ فَقَالَ «وَإِنْ وَلَدَتْ عَشَرَةً فَرِّقْ بَيْنَهُمَا»

✧ Yes, so he married her and she bore him a child. Then he came to Umar and asked him, and he said: “Separate between them.” He said: She has borne him a child. He said: “Even if she bears ten, separate between them.”
