Translation

✧ I saw Muḥammad b. ʿAbbād b. Jaʿfar kiss the Stone and prostrate upon it. Then he said: I saw your maternal uncle Ibn ʿAbbās kiss it and prostrate upon it. Ibn ʿAbbās said: I saw ʿUmar b. al-Khaṭṭāb kiss it and prostrate upon it. Then ʿUmar said: Had I not seen the Messenger of God ﷺ kiss it, I would not have kissed it.
