حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا وَائِلٍ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ:
" بِئْسَ مَا لِأَحَدِهِمْ أَنْ يَقُولَ: نَسِيتُ آيَةَ كَيْتَ وَكَيْتَ، بَلْ هُوَ نُسِّيَ، وَاسْتَذْكِرُوا الْقُرْآنَ، فَوَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَهُوَ أَشَدُّ تَفَصِّيًا مِنْ صُدُورِ الرِّجَالِ مِنَ النَّعَمِ مِنْ عُقُلِهِ

✧ How bad it is for one of them to say: I forgot such-and-such a verse. Rather, he was made to forget. So keep reminding each other of the Qur'an, for by the One in whose hand is my soul, it slips away from men's chests more readily than camels from their hobbles.
