حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي حُمَيْدٍ، عَنْ حُمَيْدَةَ بِنْتِ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيَّةِ، عَنْ أُمِّهَا، عَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ، قَالَ:

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ: إِنِّي خَرَجْتُ وَأَنَا أُرِيدُ أَنْ أُخْبِرَكُمْ بِلَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ فَأُنْسِيتُهَا، فَالْتَمِسُوهَا فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ فِي الْوِتْرِ

Translation

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said on the pulpit: "I set out intending to inform you of the Night of Decree, but I was made to forget it. So seek it in the last ten nights, in the odd ones."
