حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْبَزَّازُ ثنا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى الْقَزَّازُ
ثنا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الشَّقَرِيُّ عَنْ شَرِيكٍ عَنْ أَبِي فَزَارَةَ عَنْ أَبِي زَيْدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ طَلَبَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَيْلَةَ الْجِنِّ وَضُوءًا فَقُلْتُ لَيْسَ عِنْدِي إِلَّا نَبِيذٌ فِي إِدَاوَةٍ فَقَالَ «تَمْرَةٌ طَيِّبَةٌ وَمَاءٌ طَهُورٌ» فَتَوَضَّأَ مِنْهَا

✧ ʿAbd al-Wārith Abū ʿAbd Allāh al-Shaqarī narrated to us, from Sharīk, from Abū Fizāra, from Abū Zayd, from ʿAbd Allāh b. Masʿūd, who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sought water for ablution on the night of the jinn. I said, “I have nothing but nabīdh in a water-skin.” He said, “A good date and purifying water,” and he performed ablution with it.
