حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ النَّضْرِ الْأَزْدِيُّ ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ثنا زَائِدَةُ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ شَقِيقٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ
إِنِّي لَأَعْلَمُ النَّظَائِرَ الَّتِي كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَقْرَأُ بِهِنَّ فِي رَكْعَةٍ ثُمَّ قَامَ عَبْدُ اللهِ أَخَذَ بِيَدِ عَلْقَمَةَ فَخَرَجَ إِلَيْنَا عَلْقَمَةُ فَقُلْنَا لَهُ أَخْبَرَكَ بِالنَّظَائِرِ؟ فَقَالَ قَالَ الْعِشْرُونَ الْأُوَلُ مِنَ الْمُفَصَّلِ مِنْهَا سُورَةٌ مِنْ آلِ حم؛ الدُّخَانِ نَظِيرَتُهَا عَمَّ يَتَسَاءَلُونَ

✧ I certainly know the analogous surahs that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to recite in a single rakʿah. Then ʿAbd Allah stood, took ʿAlqamah by the hand, and ʿAlqamah came out to us. We said to him, 'Did he tell you the analogous surahs?' He said, 'He said the first twenty of the mufassal, among them a surah from the Al Ha Mim family: al-Dukhan, and its counterpart ʿAmma Yatasaʾalun.'
