حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ النَّسَائِيُّ أنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ عَنْ مُفَضَّلِ بْنِ مُهَلْهَلٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ قَالَ
صَلَّى بِنَا عَلْقَمَةُ خَمْسًا فَقِيلَ لَهُ فَقَالَ مَا فَعَلْتُ فَقُلْتُ بَلَى قَالَ وَأَنْتَ يَا أَعْوَرُ؟ قُلْتُ نَعَمْ فَسَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ حَدَّثَنَا عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ صَلَّى خَمْسًا فَوَشْوَشَ الْقَوْمُ بَعْضُهُمْ إِلَى بَعْضٍ فَقَالُوا أَزِيدَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ؟ قَالَ «لَا» فَأَخْبَرُوهُ فَثَنَى رِجْلَهُ فَسَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ قَالَ «أَنَا بَشَرٌ أَنْسَى كَمَا تَنْسَوْنَ»

✧ ʿAlqamah led us in prayer with five rakʿahs. He was told, so he said, “I did not.” I said, “Yes, you did.” He said, “And you, O one-eyed man?” I said, “Yes.” So he prostrated twice, then narrated to us from ʿAbdullah, from the Prophet ﷺ, that he prayed five rakʿahs, and the people whispered to one another, saying, “Has something been added to the prayer?” He said, “No.” They told him, so he bent his leg and prostrated twice, then said, “I am only a human being; I forget as you forget.”
