حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ النَّضْرِ الْأَزْدِيُّ ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ثنا زَائِدَةُ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ قَالَ
صَلَّى عَلْقَمَةُ بِنَا الظُّهْرَ خَمْسًا فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ قَالُوا لَهُ صَلَّيْتَ خَمْسًا قَالَ مَا فَعَلْتُ ثُمَّ قَالَ أَكَذَلِكَ يَا أَعْوَرُ؟ قَالَ قُلْتُ نَعَمْ فَانْفَتَلَ فَسَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيِ السَّهْوِ ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ صَلَّى خَمْسًا فَرَآهُمْ يَتَوَشْوَشُونَ فَقَالَ «مَا لَكُمْ؟» فَقَالُوا أَزِيدَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ؟ قَالَ «وَمَا ذَاكَ؟» قَالُوا صَلَّيْتَ خَمْسًا قَالَ «لَا وَلَكِنْ سَهَوْتُ» فَانْفَتَلَ فَسَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ

✧ ʿAlqamah led us in Zuhr prayer with five rakʿahs. When he finished, they said to him, “You prayed five.” He said, “I did not.” Then he said, “Is that so, O one-eyed man?” He said, “I said, ‘Yes.’” So he turned and prostrated the two prostrations of forgetfulness, then said the salam. Then he mentioned from ʿAbdullah, from the Prophet ﷺ, that he prayed five rakʿahs and saw them whispering to one another. He said, “What is the matter with you?” They said, “Has something been added to the prayer?” He said, “And what is that?” They said, “You prayed five.” He said, “No, but I forgot.” So he turned and prostrated twice.
