حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزِّنْبَاعِ رَوْحُ بْنُ الْفَرَجِ الْمِصْرِيُّ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الْجُعْفِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ ثنا بَيَانٌ عَنْ أَبِي عَمْرٍو الشَّيْبَانِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ
سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَيُّ الْأَعْمَالِ أَفْضَلُ؟ قَالَ «الصَّلَاةُ لِوَقْتِهَا» قِيلَ ثُمَّ أَيٌّ؟ قَالَ «بِرُّ الْوَالِدَيْنِ» قِيلَ ثُمَّ أَيٌّ؟ قَالَ «الْجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ»
Translation
Chain of narrators
- Abū al-Zinbāʿ Rawḥ b. al-Faraj al-Miṣrī
✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked, “Which deeds are best?” He said, “The prayer at its proper time.” It was said, “Then which?” He said, “Dutifulness to parents.” It was said, “Then which?” He said, “Jihad in the cause of Allah.”
