حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ الْكَرِيمِ عَنْ أَصْحَابِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ «أَنَّ §الْمَرْأَةَ إِذَا طُلِّقَتْ وَهُمْ يَحْسِبُونَ
أَنَّ الْحَيْضَةَ قَدْ أَدْبَرَتْ عَنْهَا وَلَمْ يَتَبَيَّنْ ذَلِكَ أَنَّهَا تَنْتَظِرُ سَنَةً فَإِنْ لَمْ تَحِضْ فِيهَا اعْتَدَّتْ بَعْدَ السَّنَةِ ثَلَاثَةَ أَشْهُرٍ فَإِنْ حَاضَتْ فِي الثَّلَاثَةِ الْأَشْهُرِ اعْتَدَّتْ بِالْحَيْضِ وَإِنْ حَاضَتْ فَلَمْ يَتِمَّ حَيْضُهَا بَعْدَمَا اعْتَدَّتْ تِلْكَ الثَّلَاثَةَ الْأَشْهُرِ الَّتِي بَعْدَ السَّنَةِ» قَالَ «لَا تَعْجَلْ عَلَيْهَا حَتَّى تَعْلَمَ أَتَمَّ حَيْضُهَا أَمْ لَا»

If she menstruates during the three months, she observes the waiting period by menstruation. If she menstruates but her menstruation is not completed after she has observed those three months following the year, he said: “Do not hasten against her until you know whether her menstruation is completed or not.”
