حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ عَنْ أَبِي الْبَخْتَرِيِّ
أَنَّ رَجُلًا طَلَّقَ امْرَأَتَهُ تَطْلِيقَةً فَحَاضَتْ ثَلَاثَ حِيَضْ فَلَمَّا قَعَدَتْ لِتَغْتَسِلَ جَاءَ زَوْجُهَا فَرَاجَعَهَا فَقَالَتْ لَيْسَ ذَلِكَ لَكَ فَارْتَفَعَا إِلَى ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ «فَاسْتَحْلَفَهَا بِاللهِ الَّذِي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ لَقَدْ رَاجَعَكِ وَقَدْ حَلَّتْ لَكِ الصَّلَاةُ؟ فَلَمْ تَحْلِفْ فَرَجَعَهَا إِلَيْهِ»

✧ A man divorced his wife once. She menstruated three times. When she sat down to perform ghusl, her husband came and took her back. She said: “You have no right to that.” They went to Ibn Masʿud, and he made her swear by Allah, besides whom there is no god, that he had taken her back after prayer had become lawful for her. She did not swear, so he returned her to him.
