حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الرَّازِيُّ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْجَعْدِ أنا ابْنُ ثَوْبَانَ عَنْ عَبْدَةَ بْنِ أَبِي لُبَابَةَ عَنْ زِرِّ بْنِ حُبَيْشٍ قَالَ تَذَاكَرُوا عِنْدَ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فَقَالَ
مَنْ قَامَ شَهْرَ رَمَضَانَ كُلَّهُ أَدْرَكَهَا قَالَ فَقَدِمْتُ الْمَدِينَةَ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِأُبُيٍّ فَقَالَ «وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ إِنِّي لَأَعْلَمُ أَيَّ لَيْلَةٍ هِي اللَّيْلَةُ الَّتِي أَمَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِقِيَامِهَا» قَالَ فَسَأَلْتُهُ عَنْهَا فَقَالَ «لَيْلَةُ سَبْعٍ وَعِشْرِينَ» قَالَ عَبْدَةُ «فَإِذَا كَانَ الشَّهْرُ ثَلَاثِينَ قُمْنَا بَعْدَهَا ثَلَاثًا وَإِذَا كَانَ تِسْعًا وَعِشْرِينَ قُمْنَا بَعْدَهَا لَيْلَتَيْنِ»

✧ "Whoever stands the entire month of Ramadan in prayer will attain it." He said, "Then I came to Madinah and mentioned that to Ubayy. He said: 'By the One in whose hand is my soul, I know which night it is - the night that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded us to stand in prayer.' He said, 'So I asked him about it, and he said: "The night of the twenty-seventh."' Abda said, 'So when the month was thirty days, we stood three nights after it, and when it was twenty-nine, we stood two nights after it.'"
