حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ السِّمْسَارُ ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ الْبَجَلِيُّ ثنا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ لَقِيَ ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ رَجُلًا فَقَالَ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ فَقَالَ
ابْنُ مَسْعُودٍ صَدَقَ اللهُ وَرَسُولُهُ ﷺ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مِنْ أَشْرَاطِ السَّاعَةِ أَنْ يَمُرَّ الرَّجُلُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ لَا يُصَلِّي فِيهِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَأَنْ لَا يُسَلِّمَ الرَّجُلُ إِلَّا عَلَى مَنْ يَعْرِفُ وَأَنْ يُبْرِدَ الصَّبِيُّ الشَّيْخَ»

✧ Ibn Masʿūd said: “Allah and His Messenger ﷺ have spoken the truth. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: ‘Among the signs of the Hour are that a man will pass through the mosque without praying two rakʿahs in it, that a man will not greet anyone except one he knows, and that a young boy will make an old man cool (i.e., will relieve him or act as his superior).’”
