حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ ثنا أَبُو هِلَالٍ عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ هِلَالٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ
إِنَّ الْمَرْأَةَ عَوْرَةٌ وَإِنَّهَا إِذَا خَرَجَتْ مِنْ بَيْتِهَا اسْتَشْرَفَهَا الشَّيْطَانُ فَتَقُولُ مَا رَآنِي أَحَدٌ إِلَّا أَعْجَبْتُهُ وَأَقْرَبُ مَا تَكُونُ إِلَى اللهِ إِذَا كَانَتْ فِي قَعْرِ بَيْتِهَا

✧ Indeed, a woman is ʿawrah. When she leaves her house, Satan raises himself up for her, and she says: “No one sees me but that I charm him.” The closest she is to Allah is when she is in the innermost part of her home.
