حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ
سَأَلْنَا عَلْقَمَةَ كَيْفَ كَانَتْ قِرَاءَةُ عَبْدِ اللهِ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ وَكَانَ يَبِيتُ عِنْدَهُ؟ قَالَ «كَانَ يُسْمِعُ آلَ عُتْبَةَ أَخِيهِ وَهُمْ فِي حُجْرَةٍ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ»

✧ We asked ʿAlqama, “How was ʿAbd Allah’s recitation at night, when he used to stay overnight with him?” He said, “He would make the household of his brother ʿUtba hear him, while they were in a room in front of him.”
