✧ The Bridge (Sirat) will be placed across the surface of Hell, like the edge of a sharpened sword, slippery and treacherous. Upon it will be hooks of fire by which people will be snatched. Some will be held back and fall into it, and some will be thrown down. Among them are those who will pass like lightning and will not be caught, and that one will be saved. Then like the wind and will not be caught, and that one will be saved. Then like the galloping of a horse, then like the running of a man, then like the quick walking of a man, then like the walking of a man, until the last of them will be a man whom the Fire has scorched and has met with evil in it, until Allah admits him to Paradise by the bounty of His mercy. Then it will be said to him: ‘Wish and ask.’ He will say: ‘O Lord, are You mocking me while You are the Lord of Might?’ Then it will be said to him: ‘Wish and ask.’ He said: Until when his wishes are exhausted, He will say: ‘You shall have what you asked for and the like of it along with it.’ He said: And Abu Salih narrated to me from Abu Hurayrah who said: ‘And ten times the like of it along with it.’”
