حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ ثنا أَبِي ثنا زُهَيْرٌ ثنا خَالِدُ بْنُ أَبِي كَرِيمَةَ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ قُرَّةَ عَنِ الْأَغَرِّ الْمُزَنِيِّ

أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَى رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ إِنِّي أَصْبَحْتُ وَلَمْ أُوتِرْ فَقَالَ «إِنَّمَا الْوِتْرُ بِاللَّيْلِ» قَالَ يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ إِنِّي أَصْبَحْتُ وَلَمْ أُوتِرْ قَالَ «فَأَوْتِرْ»

✧ A man came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "O Prophet of Allah, I have woken up and have not performed the Witr prayer." The Prophet replied, "Verily, Witr is performed at night." The man persisted and said, "O Prophet of Allah, I have woken up and have not performed the Witr prayer." The Prophet said, "Then, perform the Witr prayer."
