حَدَّثَنَا فُضَيْلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمَلْطِيُّ ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ثنا أَبُو الْعُمَيْسِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَلِيَّ بْنَ الْأَقْمَرِ يَذْكُرُ عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ قَالَ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ «§مَنْ سَرَّهُ
أَنْ يَلْقَى اللهَ غَدًا مُسْلِمًا فَلْيُحَافِظْ عَلَى هَؤُلَاءِ الصَّلَوَاتِ حَيْثُ يُنَادَى بِهِنَّ فَإِنَّ اللهَ ﷻ شَرَعَ لِنَبِيِّهِ ﷺ سُنَنَ الْهُدَى فَإِنَّهُنَّ مِنْ سُنَنِ الْهُدَى وَلَوْ أَنَّكُمْ صَلَّيْتُمْ فِي بُيُوتِكُمْ كَمَا صَلَّى هَذَا الْمُتَخَلِّفُ فِي بَيْتِهِ تَرَكْتُمْ سُنَّةَ نَبِيِّكُمْ ﷺ وَلَوْ تَرَكْتُمْ سُنَّةَ نَبِيِّكُمْ ﷺ لَضَلَلْتُمْ وَمَا مِنْ رَجُلٍ تَطَهَّرَ فَيُحْسِنُ الطُّهُورَ ثُمَّ يَعْمِدُ إِلَى مَسْجِدٍ مِنْ هَذِهِ الْمَسَاجِدِ إِلَّا كَتَبَ اللهُ لَهُ بِكُلِّ خُطْوَةٍ يَخْطُوهَا حَسَنَةً وَرَفَعَهُ بِهَا دَرَجَةً وَحَطَّ عَنْهُ بِهَا سَيِّئَةً وَلَقَدْ رَأَيْتُنَا وَمَا يَتَخَلَّفُ عَنْهَا إِلَّا مُنَافِقٌ مَعْلُومُ النِّفَاقِ وَإِنْ كَانَ الرَّجُلُ يُهَادَى بَيْنَ الرَّجُلَيْنِ حَتَّى يُقَامَ فِي الصَّفِّ»

✧ Whoever wants to meet Allah tomorrow as a Muslim, let him guard these prayers where the call is given for them, for Allah ﷻ has prescribed for His Prophet ﷺ the ways of guidance, and they are among the ways of guidance. If you were to pray in your homes as this one who stays behind prayed in his home, you would abandon the Sunnah of your Prophet ﷺ, and if you abandoned the Sunnah of your Prophet ﷺ, you would go astray. No man purifies himself and perfects the purification, then heads to one of these mosques except that Allah records for him for every step he takes a good deed, raises him a degree by it, and removes from him a bad deed by it. I saw us when none stayed away from it except a hypocrite whose hypocrisy was known, and a man would be supported between two men until he was stood in the row.
