حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ النَّاقِدُ ثنا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا مَعْمَرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ حَبَّانَ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ

«لَا يَزَالُ النَّاسُ بِخَيْرٍ مَا أَتَاهُمُ الْعِلْمُ مِنْ قِبَلِ أَصْحَابِ مُحَمَّدٍ ﷺ وَأَكَابِرِهِمْ فَإِذَا أَتَاهُمْ مِنْ قِبَلِ أَصَاغِرِهِمْ هَلَكُوا»

✧ People will remain in good as long as knowledge comes to them from the Companions of Muhammad ﷺ and their elders. When it comes to them from their young ones, they perish.
