✧ Ibn Masʿud (said): “Beware of ‘Do you think?’ and ‘Do you think?’, for those before you were destroyed only by ‘Do you think?’ and ‘Do you think?’. Do not compare anything with anything, lest a foot slip after it was firm. When one of you is asked about what he does not know, let him say, ‘I do not know,’ for that is a third of knowledge.”
