حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ النَّضْرِ الْأَزْدِيُّ ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ثنا زَائِدَةُ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ

«مَا أَرَى رَجُلًا أَعْلَمُ بِمَا أُنْزِلَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ ﷺ مِنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ» فَقَالَ أَبُو مُوسَى «إِنْ يُقَلْ ذَاكَ فَإِنَّهُ كَانَ يَسْمَعُ حِينَ لَا يُسْمَعُ وَيَدْخُلُ حِينَ لَا يُدْخَلُ»

✧ "I do not see any man more knowledgeable of what was revealed upon Muhammad ﷺ than ʿAbd Allah." Abu Musa said: "If that is said, then indeed he used to hear when no one was heard, and enter when no one was allowed to enter."
