حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ التَّغْلِبِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ الْغَنَوِيُّ عَنْ حَكِيمِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ قَالَ

كُنْتُ جَالِسًا مَعَ حُذَيْفَةَ فَمَرَّ ابْنُ مَسْعُودٍ وَأَبُو مُوسَى فَكَرِهَ حُذَيْفَةَ أَنْ يَتْرُكَهُمَا فَقَالَ «إِنَّ أَشْبَهَ النَّاسِ بِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ حِينَ يَخْرُجُ مِنْ بَيْتِهِ إِلَى أَنْ يَرْجِعَ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ لَعَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ مَا يَصْنَعُ»

✧ I was sitting with Hudhayfah when Ibn Mas'ud and Abu Musa passed by. Hudhayfah did not want to ignore them, so he said, "The person who most resembles the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when he leaves his house until he returns to his family is Abdullah ibn Mas'ud, and Allah knows best what he does."
