حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ الرَّمَادِيُّ ثنا سُفْيَانُ ثنا جَامِعُ بْنُ أَبِي رَاشِدٍ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ قَالَ
«مَا رَأَيْتُ رَجُلًا أَشْبَهَ دَلًّا وَلَا سَمْتًا وَلَا هَدْيًا بِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ مِنْ لَدُنْ أَنْ يَخْرُجَ مِنْ دَارِهِ إِلَى أَنْ يَئُوبَ إِلَيْهَا مِنْ هَذَا يَعْنِي عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ مَسْعُودٍ وَلَقَدْ عَلِمَ الْمَحْظُوظُونَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ مُحَمَّدٍ ﷺ أَنَّهُ مِنْ أَقْرَبِهِمْ وَسِيلَةً عِنْدَ اللهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ»

Masʿud. “And the fortunate ones among the Companions of Muhammad ﷺ know that he is among the closest of them in nearness to God on the Day of Resurrection.”
