حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْقَطْرَانِيُّ ثنا أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ الزَّهْرَانِيُّ ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ خُصَيْفَةَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ كَعْبٍ السُّلَمِيِّ أَنَّ نَافِعَ بْنَ جُبَيْرٍ

أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ أَبِي الْعَاصِ قَدِمَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَقَدْ أَخَذَهُ وَجَعٌ وَكَادَ يُبْطِلُهُ فَذَكَرَ ذَلِكَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَزَعَمَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ ضَعْ يَمِينَكَ عَلَى الْمَكَانِ الَّذِي تَشْتَكِي فَامْسَحْ بِهَا سَبْعَ مَرَّاتٍ وَقُلْ أَعُوذُ بِعِزَّةِ اللهِ وَقُدْرَتِهِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا أَجِدُ فِي كُلِّ مَسْحَةٍ

✧ He informed him that ʿUthman b. Abī al-ʿĀṣ came to the Messenger of God ﷺ while a pain had seized him and nearly disabled him. He mentioned that to the Messenger of God ﷺ, and he claimed that the Messenger of God ﷺ said: 'Place your right hand on the place that hurts, wipe over it seven times, and say in each wiping: "I seek refuge in the might of God and His power from the evil of what I find."'
