حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْبَزَّارُ حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ الْجُذُوعِيُّ ثنا الْأَزْرَقُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ثنا حَسَّانُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ثنا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ حَدَّثَنِي عُمَارَةُ بْنُ أَبِي حَفْصَةَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ

عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ سَرِيعٍ أَنَّهُمْ غَزَوْا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَلَقُوا الْعَدُوَّ فَقَتَلُوا حَتَّى أَفْضَوْا إِلَى الذُّرِّيَّةِ فَسَأَلُوا النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ «كُلُّ مَوْلُودٍ عَلَى الْفِطْرَةِ حَتَّى يَكُونَ أَبَوَاهُ يُهَوِّدَانِهِ وَيُنَصِّرَانِهِ»

✧ About Aswad ibn Sari'a, they fought alongside the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and encountered the enemy, killing them until they reached the women and children. They asked the Prophet ﷺ who said, "Every child is born on Al-Fitrah (the natural inclination towards monotheism), and it is his parents who convert him to Judaism or Christianity."
