✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ would look at the common people and say, "So-and-so, take so-and-so and host him." He continued until I remained with the Messenger of God ﷺ as the fifth of five. He said to us, "Go to the house." We went with him and entered the house of ʿĀʾisha ؓ—that was before the veil was imposed on them. He said, "O ʿĀʾisha, feed us." She brought hashīsha and we ate. Then he said, "O ʿĀʾisha, feed us." She brought ḥaysa like a small bird and they ate. Then he said, "O ʿĀʾisha, give us something to drink." She brought a bowl with ḍiyāḥ and they drank. Then he said to us, "If you wish, stay here; and if you wish, go to the mosque." We said, "No, rather we will go to the mosque," and we disliked burdening the Messenger of God ﷺ. I slept in the mosque, and while I was lying on my stomach, a man came to me and moved me with his foot and said, "Turn over like this, for it is a sleeping posture that God Almighty hates." I looked and it was the Messenger of God ﷺ.
