حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ التَّمَّارُ الْبَصْرِيُّ وَأَبُو خَلِيفَةَ الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ الْجُمَحِيُّ وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْخُزَاعِيُّ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ قَالُوا ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ ثنا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سِنَانَ عَنْ ضِرَارِ بْنِ الْأَزْوَرِ قَالَ

مَرَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِي أَوْ بِرَجُلٍ يَحْلُبُ فَقَالَ «دَعْ دَوَاعِي اللَّبَنِ» هَكَذَا رَوَاهُ سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سِنَانَ وَخَالَفَهُ أَصْحَابُ الْأَعْمَشِ فَرَوَوْهُ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ بَحِيرٍ

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by me, or by a man milking, and said, “Leave the milk that remains in the udder (dawāʿī al-laban).” This is how Sufyān al-Thawrī narrated it from al-Aʿmash, from ʿAbd Allāh b. Sinān, and the companions of al-Aʿmash disagreed with him, narrating it from al-Aʿmash, from Yaʿqūb b. Buḥayr.
