حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ السَّدُوسِيُّ ثنا أَبُو بِلَالٍ الْأَشْعَرِيُّ ثنا الْمُفَضَّلُ بْنُ صَدَقَةَ أَبُو حَمَّادٍ الْحَنَفِيُّ عَنْ أَبَانُ بْنُ أَبِي عَيَّاشٍ عَنْ أَبِي مَعْشَرٍ التَّمِيمِيِّ عَنْ قَزَعَةَ مَوْلَى زِيَادٍ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ الْبَاهِلِيِّ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «الصَّلَاةُ الْمَكْتُوبَةُ تُكَفِّرُ مَا قَبْلَهَا إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ الْأُخْرَى وَالْجُمُعَةُ تُكَفِّرُ مَا قَبْلَهَا الْجُمُعَةُ الْأُخْرَى وَشَهْرُ رَمَضَانَ يُكَفِّرُ مَا قَبْلَهُ إِلَى شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ وَالْحَجُّ يُكَفِّرُ مَا قَبْلَهُ إِلَى الْحَجِّ»

✧ I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "The prescribed prayer expiates what came before it until the next prayer, the Friday prayer expiates what came before it until the next Friday, the month of Ramadan expiates what came before it until the next Ramadan, and the Hajj expiates what came before it until the next Hajj."
