✧ I asked: "O Prophet of Allah, how many are the number of prophets?" He replied: "One hundred and twenty-four thousand, among them are three hundred and fifteen messenger groups.

حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْفِرْيَابِيُّ ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ ثنا صَدَقَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ حَدَّثَنِي عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي الْعَاتِكَةِ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ فَاتَهُ اللَّيْلُ أَنْ يُكَابِدَهُ وَبَخِلَ بِمَالِهِ أَنْ يُنْفِقَهُ وَجَبُنَ عَنِ الْعَدُوِّ أَنْ يُقَاتِلَهُ فَلْيُكْثِرْ مِنْ سُبْحَانَ اللهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ فَإِنَّهُمَا أَحَبُّ إِلَى اللهِ مِنْ جَبَلِ ذَهَبٍ وَفِضَّةٍ أَنْفَقَهُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Whosoever misses the night to strive in it, and is miserly with his wealth to spend it, and is cowardly against the enemy to fight him, let him increase in saying: ‘Glory be to Allah and with His praise,’ for they are dearer to Allah than a mountain of gold and silver spent in the way of Allah.”
