✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said: Indeed this religion will have times of advance and times of retreat. Verily, among the times of advance of this religion is that the entire tribe will gain understanding of the religion until none remains in it except one or two transgressors, who are humiliated therein; if they speak, they are suppressed and oppressed. And verily, among the times of retreat of this religion is that the entire tribe will become coarse until none remains in it except one or two jurists, who are humiliated; if they speak, they are suppressed and oppressed. And the last of this nation will curse its first. Verily, upon them the curse will descend until they drink wine openly, until a woman passes by a group and one of them stands up to her and lifts her garment as the tail of a ewe is lifted. On that day a person will say: ‘If only he would hide her behind a wall.’ On that day he will be among them like Abu Bakr and Umar are among you. Whoever on that day enjoins good and forbids evil will have the reward of fifty of those who saw me, believed in me, obeyed me, and followed me.”
