حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ أَبَانَ عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو أُمَامَةَ

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ شَابَ شَيْبَةً فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ كَانَتْ لَهُ نُورًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَمَنْ رَمَى بِسَهْمٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ أَخْطَأَ أَوْ أَصَابَ كَانَ لَهُ بِمِثْلِ رَقَبَةٍ مِنْ وَلَدِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ»

✧ He heard the Prophet ﷺ say: “Whoever grows a gray hair in the path of Allah, it will be light for him on the Day of Resurrection. And whoever shoots an arrow in the path of Allah, whether he misses or hits, it will be for him like freeing a neck from the descendants of Ishmael.”
