حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ الْعَلَاءِ عَنْ لَيْثٍ عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ ؓ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لِأَهْلِ قُبَاءَ مَا هَذَا الطُّهُورُ الَّذِي خُصِّصْتُمْ بِهِ فِي هَذِهِ الْآيَةِ {فِيهِ رِجَالٌ يُحِبُّونَ أَنْ يَتَطَهَّرُوا وَاللهُ يُحِبُّ الْمُطَّهِّرِينَ} ؟ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَا مِنَّا أَحَدٌ يَخْرُجُ مِنَ الْغَائِطِ إِلَّا غَسَلَ مَقْعَدَتَهُ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to the people of Quba: “What is this purification with which you have been singled out in this verse: ‘In it are men who love to purify themselves, and Allah loves those who purify themselves’?” They said: “O Messenger of Allah, none of us comes out from defecation except that he washes his posterior.”
