حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو الدِّمَشْقِيُّ ثنا أَبُو الْجُمَاهِرِ ثنا أَبُو كَعْبٍ السَّعْدِيُّ ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ الْمُحَارِبِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ
عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «أَنَا زَعِيمٌ بِبَيْتٍ فِي رَبَضِ الْجَنَّةِ لِمَنْ تَرَكَ الْمِرَاءَ وَإِنْ كَانَ مُحِقًّا وَبِبَيْتٍ فِي وَسَطِ الْجَنَّةِ لِمَنْ تَرَكَ الْكَذِبَ وَإِنْ كَانَ مَازِحًا وَبِبَيْتٍ فِي أَعْلَى الْجَنَّةِ لِمَنْ حَسُنَ خُلْقُهُ»

✧ From the Messenger of God ﷺ, he said, “I am a guarantor of a house in the outskirts of Paradise for one who abandons disputation even if he is in the right; and of a house in the middle of Paradise for one who abandons lying even if he is jesting; and of a house in the highest part of Paradise for one who makes his character excellent.”
