حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْمُعَلَّى الدِّمَشْقِيُّ وإِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ أَبِي حَسَّانَ الْأَنْمَاطِيُّ قَالَا ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ثنا خَالِدُ بْنُ الزِّبْرِقَانِ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ الْبَاهِلِيِّ
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «أَهْلُ الْمَدَائِنِ الْجُلَسَاءُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ رِدْءٌ لِلْمُسْلِمِينَ وَثَغْرُهُمْ فَلَا تَغْلُوا عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا تَحْتَكِرُوا وَلَا يَبِيعُ حَاضِرٌ لِبَادٍ وَلَا يَسُومُ الرَّجُلُ عَلَى سَوْمِ أَخِيهِ وَلَا يَخْطُبُ عَلَى خِطْبَتِهِ وَلَا تَكْتَفِئُ الْمَرْأَةُ إِنَاءَ أُخْتِهَا فَكُلٌّ رِزْقُهُ عَلَى اللهِ ﷻ»

✧ From the Prophet ﷺ, he said, “The people of the garrison towns who remain stationed in the path of God are a support for the Muslims and their frontier. So do not charge them excessive prices, do not hoard, let no town-dweller sell for a Bedouin, let no man outbid his brother, let no man propose over his brother’s proposal, and let no woman seek to overturn her sister’s vessel. For everyone’s provision is upon God, glorified and exalted be He.”
