حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُقْبِلٍ الْبَصْرِيُّ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُعَلَّى الْأَدَمِيُّ ثنا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ أَبُو يَزِيدَ الْمُقْرِئُ ثنا عَاصِمُ بْنُ بَهْدَلَةَ عَنْ زِرٍّ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ عَسَّالٍ قَالَ قَالَ

«إِنَّ لِلَّهِ دِيكًا رَأْسُهُ تَحْتَ الْعَرْشِ وجَنَاحُهُ فِي الْهَوَاءِ وَبَرَاثِنُهُ فِي الْأَرْضِ فَإِذَا كَانَ فِي الْأسحارِ وَأَدْبَارِ الصَّلَوَاتِ خَفَقَ بِجَنَاحِهِ وَصَفَّقَ بِالتَّسْبِيحِ فَتَصِيحُ الدِّيَكَةُ تُجِيبُهُ بِالتَّسْبِيحِ»

✧ “Indeed, God has a rooster whose head is beneath the Throne, whose wing is in the air, and whose claws are in the earth. When it is the pre-dawn hours and the ends of the prayers, it flaps its wing and claps in glorification, and the roosters crow, answering it with glorification.”
