حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ثنا عُمَرُ بْنُ صَالِحِ بْنِ جَبِيرَةَ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ثنا مُشْمَعَلُّ بْنُ مِلْحَانَ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ عَجْلَانَ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ أَبِي النَّجُودِ عَنْ زِرِّ بْنِ حُبَيْشٍ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ عَسَّالٍ قَالَ

بَيْنَا نَحْنُ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ إِذْ سَمِعَ رَجُلًا يُؤَذِّنُ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «عَلَى الْفِطْرَةِ» فَقَالَ أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ فَقَالَ «شَهِدَ بِالْحَقِّ» قَالَ أَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللهِ قَالَ «خَرَجَ مِنَ النَّارِ»

✧ While we were with the Messenger of God ﷺ, he heard a man giving the call to prayer. The Prophet ﷺ said: “Upon the natural disposition.” Then he said: “I testify that there is no god but God,” and the Prophet said: “He has testified to the truth.” He said: “I testify that Muhammad is the Messenger of God,” and the Prophet said: “He has come out of the Fire.”
