حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الْمُحَارِبِيُّ ثنا أَبِي عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ أَبِي النَّجُودِ عَنْ زِرِّ بْنِ حُبَيْشٍ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِصَفْوَانَ بْنِ عَسَّالٍ إِنَّهُ قَدْ حَاكَ فِي صَدْرِي مِنَ الْمَسْحِ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ شَيْءٌ فَهَلْ

سَمِعْتَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِيهِ شَيْئًا؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ كَانَ يَأْمُرُنَا إِذَا كُنَّا سَفَرًا أَنْ لَا نَنْزِعَ الْخِفَافَ ثَلَاثًا إِلَّا مِنْ جَنَابَةٍ وَلَكِنْ مِنْ نَوْمٍ وغائطٍ وَبَوْلٍ»

✧ “Did you hear anything about it from the Messenger of God ﷺ?” He said: “Yes; he used to command us, when we were traveling, not to remove the leather socks for three days, except on account of major ritual impurity—but not on account of sleep, defecation, or urination.”
