al-Mu'jam al-Kabir (al-Tabarani) 728

✧ On the Day of Judgement, Allah has prepared punishment and anger for those who steal the wealth of a Muslim, or falsely swear on them with a false oath.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزِّنْبَاعِ رَوْحُ بْنُ الْفَرَجِ وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَمَّادِ بْنِ زُغْبَةَ قَالَا ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عُفَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بِلَالٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ ؓ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ آخَى بَيْنَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ وَالْأَنْصَارِ آخَى بَيْنَ سَعْدِ بْنِ الرَّبِيعِ وَبَيْنَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ فَقَالَ لَهُ سَعْدٌ إِنَّ لِي مَالًا فَهُوَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكَ شَطْرَانِ وَلِيَ امْرَأَتَانِ فَانْظُرْ أَيَّتَهُمَا أَحْبَبْتَ حَتَّى أُطَلِّقَهَا فَإِذَا خَلَتْ فَتَزَوَّجْهَا قَالَ لَا حَاجَةَ لِي بِمَالِكَ وَأَهْلِكَ دُلَّنِي عَلَى السُّوقِ فَذَهَبَ ثُمَّ رَجَعَ بِتَمْرٍ وَأَقِطٍ قَدْ أَفْضَلَهُ فَجَاءَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَبِهِ أَثَرُ صُفْرَةٍ فَقَالَ «مَيْهَمْ؟» قَالَ تَزَوَّجْتُ امْرَأَةً مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ قَالَ «مَا سُقْتَ إِلَيْهَا؟» قَالَ وَزْنَ نَوَاةٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ أَوْ نَوَاةً مِنْ ذَهَبٍ قَالَ «أَوْلِمْ وَلَوْ بِشَاةٍ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ established brotherhood between the Emigrants and the Helpers, and he made brothers of Sa'd b. al-Rabi' and Abd al-Rahman b. Awf. Sa'd said to him: "I have wealth, so it is between me and you in two halves, and I have two wives, so look at whichever of them you like, and I will divorce her, and when her waiting period is over, marry her." He said: "I have no need of your wealth or your family; show me the market." So he went, then returned with dates and dried curd, having profited. He came to the Prophet ﷺ with traces of yellow perfume on him, and the Prophet said: "What is this?" He said: "I have married a woman from the Helpers." He said: "What did you give her as a dowry?" He said: "The weight of a date stone of gold, or a date stone of gold." He said: "Hold a wedding feast, even if with a sheep."
