✧ Explanation of the name and lineage of Shurahbil b. Hasana, his father's name is Shuf'ah and his mother's name is Hasana, and it is said that she is from Harid. He is also known as Abu Abdullah b. al-Ghawth b. Mur, the brother of Tamim b. Mur, from those who migrated to the land of Habasha (Ethiopia), and he settled in Sham (Syria), and he is from the tribe of Banu Najih.

حَدَّثَنَا مُطَّلِبُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ ثنا أَبُو صَالِحٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ بْنِ بَهْرَامَ عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ غَنْمٍ عَنْ حَدِيثِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ عَمِيرَةَ قَالَ

«طُعِنَ أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ وَشُرَحْبِيلُ ابْنُ حَسَنَةَ وَأَبُو مَالِكٍ جَمِيعًا فِي يَوْمٍ وَاحِدٍ»
