حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الرَّاسِبِيِّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ حِسَابٍ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حُمْرَانَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو بِشْرٍ عَنْ مُسَافِعِ بْنِ شَيْبَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ شَيْبَةَ قَالَ

دَخَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْكَعْبَةَ فَصَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ فَرَأَى فِيهَا تَصَاوِيرَ فَقَالَ «يَا شَيْبَةُ اكْفِنِي هَذِهِ» فَاشْتَدَّ ذَلِكَ عَلَى شَيْبَةَ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ فَارِسَ إِنْ شِئْتَ طَلَيْتُهَا وَلَطَخْتُهَا بِزَعْفَرَانَ فَفَعَلَ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered the Kaaba and prayed two rak'ahs. He saw images in it and said: 'O Shaybah, rid me of these.' Shaybah found that hard. A man from Persia said to him: 'If you wish, I will coat and smear them with saffron,' and he did.
