وَبِإِسْنَادِهِ عَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ قَالَ
إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَانَا يَوْمَ وَرَدَ حِجْرَ ثَمُودَ عَلَى رَكِيَّةٍ عِنْدَ جَانِبِ الْمَدِينَةِ أَنْ نَشْرَبَ مِنْهَا أَوْ نَسْقِيَ بِهَا وَنَهَى أَنْ نُولِجَ بُيُوتَهُمْ وَنَبَّأَنَا أَنَّ وَلَدَ النَّاقَةِ ارْتَقَى فِي قَارَةٍ سَمِعْتُ النَّاسَ يَدْعُونَهَا كِنَانَةَ وَأَنَّ أَثَرَ وَلَدِ النَّاقَةِ مُبِيَّنٌ فِي قُبِلِهَا
Translation
Chain of narrators
- Samurah b. Jundub
✧ Indeed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade us on the day he arrived at the Hijr of Thamud, at a well near the side of the city, from drinking from it or watering with it, and he forbade us from entering their dwellings. And he informed us that the young of the she-camel ascended a mountain that I heard people call Kinanah, and that its track is clearly visible on its slope.
