وَبِإِسْنَادِهِ عَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَقُولُ «مَنْ رَهَنَ أَرْضًا بِدَيْنٍ عَلَيْهِ فَإِنَّهُ يَقْضِي مِنْ ثَمَرَتِهَا مَا فَضُلَ بَعْدَ نَفَقَتِهَا وَيَقْضِي ذَلِكَ لَهُ مِنْ حِينِهِ ذَلِكَ الَّذِي عَلَيْهِ بَعْدَ أَنْ يَحْسِبَ لِصَاحِبِهَا الَّذِي عِنْدَهُ عَمَلَهُ وَنَفَقَتَهُ بِالْعَدْلِ»
Translation
Chain of narrators
- Samurah b. Jundub
✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ used to say: “Whoever mortgages land for a debt he owes, he shall repay from its produce what remains after its expenses, and he shall repay that from that time what he owes, after accounting for the owner’s work and expenses with justice.”
