وَبِإِسْنَادِهِ عَنْ سَمُرَةَ
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يَقُولُ «أَيُّكُمْ مَا صَنَعَ طَعَامًا قَدْرَ مَا يَكْفِي رَجُلَيْنِ فَإِنَّهُ يَكْفِي ثَلَاثَةً أَوْ صَنَعَ لِثَلَاثَةٍ فَإِنَّهُ يَكْفِي أَرْبَعَةً أَوْ لِأَرْبَعَةٍ فَإِنَّهُ يَكْفِي خَمْسَةً فَكَنَحْوِ ذَلِكَ مِنَ الْعَدَدِ»
Translation

✧ The Prophet ﷺ used to say: “Whichever of you prepares food enough for two men, it is sufficient for three; or prepares for three, it is sufficient for four; or for four, it is sufficient for five—and so on with such numbers.”
