حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ هَارُونَ ثنا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ السَّمُرِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ خُبَيْبِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ سَعْدِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ عَنْ خُبَيْبِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ
نَهَانَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ نَسُبَّ وَقَالَ إِنْ كَانَ أَحَدُكُمْ سَابًّا صَاحِبَهُ لَا مَحَالَةَ فَلَا يَفْتَرِي عَلَيْهِ وَلَا يَسُبَّ وَالِدَيْهِ وَلَا يَسُبَّ قَوْمَهُ وَلَكِنْ إِنْ كَانَ يَعْلَمُ ذَلِكَ فَلْيَقُلْ إِنَّكَ لَبَخِيلٌ أَوْ لِيَقُلْ إِنَّكَ جَبَانٌ أَوْ لِيَقُلْ إِنَّكَ كَذُوبٌ أَوْ لِيَقُلْ إِنَّكَ لَؤُومٌ

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ forbade us from reviling, and he said: “If one of you must inevitably revile his companion, let him not slander him, nor revile his parents, nor revile his people. But if he knows that, let him say: ‘You are miserly,’ or ‘You are cowardly,’ or ‘You are a liar,’ or ‘You are base.’”
